Couscous, Moroccan, Whole Wheat


Whole wheat couscous is made with whole grain durum flour and rolled with brown rice flour. This flour retains the bran and germ of the wheat berry making it more nutritious than products made from white flour. It cooks just as quickly as the regular varieties and tastes great with a rich nutty flavor. The quick cooking nature of couscous has made it a very popular addition to the Western diet.  Serve couscous with marinated, broiled vegetables. Cooked chilled couscous makes a super salad ingredient. Use a bed of Couscous instead of rice with curries or stir fry meals.
